Hello internet world!

As you can see I don't use this blog as much as I'd like to. After graduation I took bit of a break but now I'v been back in the creative mode. I will be creating a website for the next couple weeks and will share that link on here. As far as this blog, I deleted any 2D posts and it's more likely going to stay dead. But... I will keep the 3D stuff on here for enjoyment.

WOW! That's all I'm going to describe this dvd.
While finishing up my demo for review I had the bonus stuff from this dvd play in the background. Not the best idea since I probably spent most of the time turning around and being amazed by the special features. Not only is the movie in itself amazing, but the specials and history on the 2nd disc is just...enlightening. The perfect icing on top would have been if they included the original full lenght sketches plus the final colored version, but only one can dream of such perfection. It just looked so amazing!!!

Go get a copy at amazon for 15$!! It's well worth it

So i have an idea for a new animation w/ my lil french guy and I need a little help developing this one acting scene.


He's at an outdoor cafe kinda thing and he's just day dreamin, observing ppl, bored. He sighs, looks around and then down to see his cup of coffee. He drops his hand holdin his head and shift his body a lil. He goes in and grabs his cup of coffee, twirls it and sips it, until he notices he's out. He tries to get the server's attention but then goes back to dazin of into the day dreamin world.

I just feel its unresolved and kinda dull, like u expect somethin to happen. But this is an ACTING piece so I dunno if it needs a lil touch of somethin. Let me know what u guys think :D



ps thats not the final lighting, it's just to show u guys what I'm workin w/. Next will be a quick lil animatic

K here's a guy I've been working on in modeling 2. I had fun texturing and playing around w/ making blin shapes for him.
heres a 2d sketch too ::



I wanted to model the hair for him, but the source image I used to create the text already had a beard so I just kept it. If I just wanted to make plain lambrent shaders then I would've created the hair... which is prob what will happen to him, or a home made text that looks painted on? who knows maybe an update during the break eh?

I'll prob do a body for him and use him for animation 2 :D
